"Closure" is HyS' 2nd release with Roots of Society Records. Bringing you 11 nujazz and easy listening instrumentals. This will be HyS' final release with ROS Records and will be moving into the new year with a fresh clean slate.
"Hey, everyone, HyS here.
So this album means a lot to me for a few reasons.
It's called, 'Closure' so it'd mean that I've come to a certain point in my life.
This album has been a ride to make, since I've included songs that show what I can make now, and songs that I had started with in the very beginning of my musical career.
This will also be my final project under Roots of Society, as well as the final Hip Hop album for a long time.
I've decided to take my career in a different direction that many will disagree with. I will probably be called a "sellout" due to my decision.
But I'm okay with that. I'm chasing a large dream that will only take longer to acheive through underground styles.
I want to chase my dreams, while also being able to provide for friends and family.
This doesn't mean that I will never make underground styles again, I'll be back with the usual beats every now and then.
I'll be directing my efforts towards more electronic styles from now on.
For the current fans, I understand if you dislike where I'm headed, and I'll understand if you leave. I'd still like to thank you all for the love you've shown me up until now.
For the ones who continue to support me, thank you, too.
2016 was a rough one for many of us.
Let's keep moving on into 2017.
